Finishing up an an amazing trip to the Galapagos for striped Marlin with Javier. First he picked us up in Quito, arranged, and took us on a guided tour of famous landmarks in the City. This included authentic Ecuadorian food at the “Top of the World” and a visit to a local museum that explained the culture and natural history of Ecuador. All arrangements in Quito and San Cristobal were arranged and handled flawlessly.
We were on a 4 day fishing trip and all days had plenty of marlin teased up each days and many shots on the fly. Two days were spectacular without going 15 minutes between teased up fish. We all lleadered 200-lb+ fish and also landed other species that were crashing bait balls such as mahi. In summary, the boat, crew, equipment, and fishing were spectacular.
This is the only operator that I am aware of that goes on all the trips. Javier is way more than a booking agent. He’s professional in every aspect, well versed in fly fishing, and also a very nice guy. Booked a trip with EFT/Javier and you will not be disappointed!

Fishing with Javier recently for rainbows high in the Andes left me with the distinct feeling that I only scratched the surface with what is possible fishing with Javier. I just wish I didn't live so far away. He has so many fishing options and is an excellent guide. Nothing is a bother and he knows his stuff.
